I did read the article in full and I think, in your comment, you make the same point I want to make:

“some people are being driven to the point of despair by the failure of government to protect small communities”

Communities are not necessarily geographically defined; this is a community that is discriminated against because they live unconventional lives and they are a small comunity. One of the discriminators is local government, I’d add.

Dorries is a prat coming out with those statements- I can see how it might be difficult if gypsies set up in your field but that makes council provided fields even better as an idea and demonstrates what an idiot Dorries is.
