It is Microsoft trying to force everyone to buy their new product by using proprietary standards and changing them from time to time. People will effectively be forced to buy the new Office to keep up with people who have the new version - which is what MS ship with their new computers.<br/><br/>As I say, I've gone back to OpenOffice.
