As I said, the price of good art is bad art; I think this qualifies as the latter.

My objections are as much about the pretentiousness and lack of understanding around Shibboleth as anything else; I also think that it will bring in fewer numbers to the gallery than previous exhibits in the Turbine Hall, which also has to count as a failure.

I can see how the idea of a crack might have been attractive in the same way as, say, Marsyas was, but it failed.
