A short video about fear for Mr Johnson

Here’s a little video about fear for Mr Johnson.

I can only assume that it is a combination of his uncertainty about his own policies, dubious mathematics, demonstrably poor knowledge of and interest in London prior to his campaign and woeful history of offence and unpleasantness coupled with a set of minders who are worried about what he will say when let off the leash that lead him to avoid questioning from Londoners - Mr Johnson has pulled out of another hustings, this time at the University of London Union.

I spent five years as a student in London. There’s no doubt that London is a fantastic city to be in, but it is an expensive city. The one-third discount on season travel brought in by Mr Livingstone as Mayor of London makes a real difference to students, enabling them to travel safely between home, study, work and leisure.Equally, the great attraction of London is its diversity. Whether you’re gay or straight, black or white, religious or atheist, you can live as you want in London so long as you let people live the way they want. Mr Johnson, however, does not accidentally offend people but goes out of his way to do so by likening civil partnerships to ‘three men and a dog’ and as Tony Travers, director of the Greater London Group at the London School of Economics, has put it

“There is no way to dress up expressions such as “piccaninnies’” and “watermelon smiles” to take them within a million miles of acceptable.”

Mr Johnson’s inability to answer a simple question - how much will his flagship policy cost? - or to deal with the consequences of spending what it would entail are, it would seem, at least part of the reason he keeps pulling out of hustings.

xD.

For a young and naive reader, apart from not being Ken Livingstone, and bringing back Routemasters, what does Boris actually stand for? I find it hard to tell.
