Social bookmarking
I’ve added some social bookmarking buttons to the blog; the ones on the right are for the whole blog and if you look at an individual post (by clicking on its title or where it says ‘permalink’) you’ll see buttons for that particular post.
The code for this script comes from a particularly good website called (amazingly) Social Bookmark Script; it’s free and generates the code for you, with forty-one social bookmarking sites from which to choose. It’s very easy to use and I thoroughly recommend it.
If you haven’t come across social bookmarking, I refer you to the Wikipedia entry
Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to store, organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web pages on the Internet with the help of metadata.
In a social bookmarking system, users save links to web pages that they want to remember and/or share. These bookmarks are usually public, and can be saved privately, shared only with specified people or groups, shared only inside certain networks, or another combination of public and private domains. The allowed people can usually view these bookmarks chronologically, by category or tags, or via a search engine.

Cleverly, the Social Bookmarks Script allows you to include a question mark button to take you to a page that explains what social bookmarking is; clicking on any of the ones on this blog will takes you to the Wikipedia entry.
xD.

I also like sites like socialmarker because these little scripts don’t include all the small sites like wirefan, plugim and danogo that actually bring good referral traffic.
