I don’t know, tbh. If, however, he is going to go, it must be before Parliament returns in the autumn. I am best ambivalent about a leadership challenge. What I am certain about, though, is that whoever is the leader in October must be the leader at the General Election, predicted for 2010.
I find the Johnson/Cruddas ticket attractive. My post from the leadership election is here; I was originally going to vote Cruddas 1, Johnson 2, but ended up putting Harman 2, Johnson 3 after Cruddas said that his supporters should second preference her. I think a lot of others would as well, and that might actually stay other people’s hands.
On the Johnson/Cruddas ticket; I don’t know if GB were to go whether a vacancy for deputy would automatically ensue.

If they changed the leader, don’t you think they’d be likely to call an election sooner rather than later?
