Email & web outage
In the small hours of Friday morning, vps.net, the people who host my servers, suffered a quite spectacular DDOS attack. There are, briefly, two things I’d like to day: firstly, if you’ve emailed me, please email me again as I may have missed your message. Secondly, VPS.net are a really good hosting company and I’m staying with them.

Hosting is an issue all right. 1&1 are medium as providers but my actual host is top notch and I get redress within 30 minutes.

I’m actually really pleased with VPS.net. I was with midPhase before, who own VPS.net, and stayed within the company. Obviously, it’s a virtual private server that you have to manage yourself, but the uptime has been near as makes no difference 100% until this DDOS attack, which they can’t really be blamed for!
