BBC News and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution report that an effigy of Obama has been hung in Jimmy Carter’s hometown of Plains, GA (although both look like AP wire feeds).

I am entirely sure that the great majority of people in the US are going to be outraged at the action. I am, though, going to make a couple of points. Firstly, there’s been a lot of complaining about people on Twitter apparently saying that they wished Rush Limbaugh would die when recently admitted to hospital with chest pains. I regard that as equally unpleasant and hope that everyone would condemn both. I’m sure that every last person who complained about people wishing ill to Limbaugh will complain about those who wish ill to the President.

Secondly, although AP has picked it up, neither Fox nor CNN nor MSNBC have run the story on their websites so far as I can tell.
