Pat Robertson and Haiti
I’ve been a bit quiet on the blogging front of late. Work and so on means that I haven’t had enough time to keep up with blogs, let alone write on my own. I have, though, started making some YouTube videos. They’re not going to win any awards, but I enjoy doing them.
You may have seen that Pastor Pat Robertson blamed the recent Haitian earthquake, and its other calamities since the revolution there, were because of Toussaint Louverture and his co-revolutionaries making a pact with the devil to remove the French. Here’s my take.
xD.

Interesting how some people label themselves Pastor or Reverend.

Good point. It’s so sad that these bigots are so far away from any logic that is not based on their faith. Its really really sad that so many people trust him (and his many fellows).

Danke!
I often wonder whether people like Robertson actually believe their schtick or are just doing it to make money; I increasingly incline to the latter. However, their followers do believe and, quite apart from its obnoxiousness, I do wonder how long the species Homo sapiens is going to survive if people in the most advanced country in the world are influenced by what is tantamount to a belief in witchcraft.
xD.
